Education and Experience
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Attention to detail; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships; working knowledge of public sector administration; strong proofreading and editing skills, thorough knowledge of Adobe InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, to include Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; working knowledge and experience in social media management; experience with website content management and the ability to express ideas effectively in written and verbal form.
Salary range is $21.67 to $29.25, dependent on qualifications. Position open until filled. The City of Spring Hill offers excellent, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage as well as paid leave and KPERS retirement.

Job Description
Under the direction of the City Administrator, assists with maintaining the city’s website (www.springhillks.gov); monitors and updates various social media sites operated by the City; develops and maintains electronic and print newsletters; develops marketing materials and initiatves; writes news releases, speeches and other material. Works with media, elected City Council members, senior management team members, and city staff. Attends public engagements and assists with coordination and photo opportunities. Assists with public information during citywide emergencies and incidents.
